Sarah
Hi I’m Sarah. I was born in Roundhay and have lived in the local area all my life apart from when I was at University in Hull. My background is predominately in administration and finance (which is great in starting a new business venture!) but I’ve been passionate about all plants and growing since I was a child back in the 1970’s. I can remember going to the greengrocer, helping my grandad in his allotment and wild blackberry picking with my cousins.

I’m Rob. I came to Leeds in 1978 as a student and apart from a few years living in London and Australia have lived in Leeds 8 ever since. In 2016 I founded Growing Better, a social enterprise focused on improving mental health through growing edible produce. We grew baby leaf salad at what was Red Hall Nursery, and later microgreens in what was then the only hydroponic vertical farm in Leeds, supplying food businesses in Central and North Leeds.
